Over the years we have built up a reputation of supporting Wirral Schools in filmmaking. We have worked closely with First Light Ltd., the youth branch of the UK Film Council, and initially received one of their studio grants to make four films. Since then we have become a Filmmaking Partner and have had funding for a further two years. This has enabled us to complete another eight films, but also run a series of masterclasses, workshops, family learning and other filmmaking related activities.

As well as making films and animations we also support the use of filmmaking within the curriculum. We have extensive blue/green screen and downstream key facilities and also stop frame animation; these are popular activities with schools. We can also offer documentary, filmmaking and video editing workshops to suit your needs. We can offer whole class video editing (up to 36 workstations offering simultaneous editing) using a dedicated closed network and video server.

At TLL we also have specialised filmmaking equipment including high definition cameras, Autocue, a dedicated high definition macro camera and straight-scope, underwater camera housings, dolly systems, tracking, jib arm and Steadicam.
